Highlights of My Day

There are only a few things that I can consider highlights of my day. They are as follows: 1) Lunch 2) Leaving work at 6:00 3) Seeing and/or talking to my ever so wonderful GF after work 4) Playing ‘Angry Birds’ to waste time in the bathroom.

It’s Been a Long Time, My Friend

It’s been a while since I’ve done this whole Tumblr posting thing.

Recently, I found a friend’s, and she kinda sorta inspired me to start posting again. Now seems to be the time I finally get around to doing it. Taking a break from doing some freelance stuff, waiting for “Falling Skies” to start, thought I’d blow up the blogosphere with what I’ve been up to:

Not much.

In a nut shell: GF, same job I don’t like, new internship that I do like, still got friends (thank God), still got family, and still can find beer on the shelves at the Kroger across the street.

The job search goes not so well. It’s really maddening. I’ve sent probably 30+ inquiry emails/resumes, and only 4 or 5 of those have come to anything beyond a follow-up ‘Thank You’ email. Thank God I was offered an internship at a small agency in Raleigh. It’s part-time and unpaid, so I still get to keep my paid/benefits full-time gig. And I think I’ll be learning a lot from this one. Started out by working on their brand, doing business cards/letterhead/stationery, followed by an e-blast/QR code deal, and now I’m gonna be following a print job from contact with the printer to the press check to final product. Gonna be pretty cool, I believe.

In closing, this is one of my new favorite prints, which is from 55his. Planning on purchasing said print in the near future too.

Gonna try and keep up with this every few days. At least once a week. Holla!!!

It’s Been a While

Hey there ‘erebody!

Everyone who follows my little Tumblr. All…3..of you. Probably even less.

Sittin here, watching the Bears/Packers duke it out for the NFC championship, I said to myself: “I haven’t logged on to my Tumblr in a hot minute. I think I will.” Plus, a friend starting one of her own, *COUGHLAURENCOUGH*, made me feel inspired to start again.

I suppose stuff has changed, and some stuff hasn’t, since my last entry/post/update/whatever. Moved to a new apt, roommate is a friend from high school who has a big boy job in Raleigh. I’m still at FineLine. Still cranking out prototypes. STILL looking for a graphic design job. STILL. Really? Come on. Shouldn’t I have one by now (now = 8 months after graduation)? I should but I don’t. Feels shitty not having a job that utilizes that four year degree you worked so damn hard for. In other news…girl friend, a raise, Bobo the Fat Cat, and a new home brew has happened as well.

Thats it. I think.

I’m definitely gonna try and keep this thing current. It’s fun. I like posting randomness.

I’ve decided…

I’ve decided that I will do something creative, something that I’ve wanted to do for a while but haven’t had the time due to the last 4 years of school, every week or two.

The first installment will come in the next day or so. Something I’ve had on the back burner for ‘bout a week.
